Claire spent 12 years working in and managing Garden Centres, before setting up Plantpassion in 2004. She trained with Homebase as a garden centre management trainee, before moving to Wyevale, the UK’s leading garden centre chain, and then becoming manager of the Plant Centre at RHS Wisley in Surrey in 1998. While at Wisley she set up the plant centre’s personal shopping service.
Claire is passionate about plants, and excellent customer service.
Working in the Guildford and Horsley area, Claire and her team help their clients create and maintain beautiful gardens that really work.
Kim Hoar has a varied gardening background with over 5 years experience as a professional gardener, including working on an organic herb project, working in a English heritage public garden, and running her own maintenance and garden planting business for 3 years in Essex. Now based in Surrey to be nearer to family, Kim enjoys maintaining and enhancing gardens and plantings and is currently building on her soft landscaping, extensive plant knowledge and design experience by studying for a garden design diploma with KLC.
Brenda Donnelly has recently joined the Plantpassion team as a trainee. She is a passionate amateur gardener who is taking an adventurous leap from sales consultancy to plantswoman! Currently shadowing Claire she will start her RHS Level 2 Diploma in Horticulture September 2009 at Merrist Wood College in Guildford. She has the same core value that customer service is paramount. Her goal is to develop a keen eye for making sure the plants in a garden are right for their situation and she seeks to bring delight to her clients in their gardens. She says "I really want to be known as an expert in the horticultural field, and to inspire my clients to be creative in their enjoyment of their own gardens".
Mike Annett from Merrow Landscapes has worked with Plantpassion clients on over 10 occasions in the last 2 years, and is happy to help with Patios, Paths, Driveways, Fencing and Turfing projects.
